- Caphosol® is supplied in two single-dose containers, each containing 15 mL liquid:
- Caphosol® A: phosphate solution
- Caphosol® B: calcium solution
- These are combined in equal volume to form the final solution
How should Caphosol® be prepared?
- Mix 1 Caphosol® A and 1 Caphosol® B in a clean glasss
- Swish half the solution in the mouth for approximately 1 minute and spit out
- Repeat with the remaining half and spit out

How often should Caphosol® be used?
- Caphosol® can be used 4 to 10 times a day. It should be used for the duration of the cancer treatment or as instructed by the prescribing physician.
Will Caphosol® interact with other medications that I am taking?
- Caphosol® is not known to interact with medicinal or other products.
Should I take any special precautions whilst using Caphosol®?
- You should avoid eating or drinking for at least 15 minutes after use. If you are restricted to a low sodium diet you should consult your physician before using Caphosol® as it contains sodium (71 mg per 30 mL dose treatment).
What happens if I accidentally swallow Caphosol®?
- There are no known adverse effects if Caphosol® is accidentally swallowed.
Caphosol® should not be used if the seal of the single-dose container is broken or shows sign of leakage or damaged.
