EUSA Pharma appoints
President Europe

Doylestown PA, USA and Oxford, UK - 3 October 2007 – EUSA Pharma Inc (‘EUSA’), a
transatlantic specialty pharmaceutical company focused on oncology, pain control and critical care,
today announced the appointment of Ad van Beysterveldt as President Europe and member of the
company’s Executive Committee.

Ad van Beysterveldt, 52, joins the company from Cephalon where he led the European oncology
franchise. He brings 30 years’ commercial and managerial experience, having held many senior
roles in the pharmaceutical industry, largely at Bristol-Myers Squibb. With significant international
experience he has extensive knowledge of the European, US and Asian markets, particularly in the
fields of oncology and critical care. Mr van Beysterveldt succeeds Jim Phillips as EUSA’s President Europe. Ad holds a degree in Law and Economics from University Brabant, The Netherlands.
