KIDROLASE is indicated in the treatment of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, Leukaemic meningitis and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Asparagine is an amino acid that is essential for cell growth; it is produced by most cells, but not all blood cells. Mutated (cancer) cells in ALL rely on asparagine circulating in the blood for growth. L-Asparaginase is an enzyme that lowers circulating asparagine levels in the blood thereby depriving the mutated blood cells of asparagine and inhibiting their growth.
KIDROLASE is registered in 14 countries. In countries where KIDROLASE is not yet registered, a physician may request KIDROLASE be made available to named patients who fulfil a defined criteria.
