Dr Raj Parekh is a General Partner at Advent Venture Partners. Founded in 1981, Advent Ventures is one of the most experienced technology venture capital firms in Europe with over USD 1billion under management. Advent has backed and built over 60 successful life science companies in the UK, throughout Europe and in the US.

Raj Parekh has over 20 years of international executive and investing experience in the biotechnology industry. He founded Oxford GlycoSciences in 1988 and has since served on the Board, as Director or Chairman, of numerous Companies. He is currently Chairman of Galapagos nv, and his Directorships include Cellnovo, Avila Therapeutics, 4-Antibody AG and Celldex Inc.

Raj Parekh has a DPhil in molecular medicine from Oxford University.
